The site exists to inform prospective guests about private chef service in vacation rentals across 12 mountain markets in CO, UT, and WY, and to collect inquiries for custom proposals. Submitting an inquiry does not create a contract; a contract is formed only when you receive a written proposal from us, sign it, and submit a deposit.
All prices on the site are presented as starting points ("starting at $150 per person") to give you a sense of what to expect. Actual pricing is set in the written proposal you receive after submitting an inquiry. The proposal is the binding pricing document; the site is not.
No gratuity is expected or required, and no separate travel fee is charged inside the markets we publish. Sales tax, alcohol, specialty rentals, and travel to a location materially outside our published markets are quoted as their own lines on your proposal and agreed before booking — never added afterwards.
A binding booking is created when you sign a written proposal and submit the deposit. Booking, deposit, cancellation and rescheduling terms are set out in full in the MileHighCook Terms of Service and in the Client Services Agreement you sign; those documents govern, and nothing on this site varies them. In short: a deposit of fifty percent (50%) reserves your date and is fully refundable if you cancel thirty (30) or more calendar days before service; within 30 days, cancellations are not accepted and all payments are final. A one-time reschedule is available if you ask at least 14 calendar days ahead and the new date falls within 90 days. Bookings made inside 30 days are paid in full up front. We work with guests on weather emergencies and family emergencies in good faith.
We provide private chef services to the standards described in your proposal. We carry general liability insurance and food handler certifications appropriate to each market. We are not responsible for damage to the rental property caused by acts beyond our control — a power outage, a host's faulty appliance, a guest accident, or weather — or for breakage of property during normal use. Where damage is caused by our negligence, we address it under the liability terms of your signed agreement.
The information on this site, including kitchen audit descriptions, sample menus, and pricing tiers, is provided for general guidance. Specific menus, kitchen logistics, and pricing for your booking are confirmed in the written proposal.
All content on this site — text, design, photographs, logos, sample menus — is the property of MileHighCook unless attributed to another source. You may share links to pages on the site freely. You may not copy, reproduce, or republish substantial portions of the content without written permission.
The site links to milehighcook.net (the flagship MileHighCook business) and to social media profiles on Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content or privacy practices.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, MileHighCook's total liability for any claim arising from our services shall not exceed the total amount paid for the specific event giving rise to the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Colorado, USA. Disputes arising from a booking are resolved by binding arbitration in Denver County, Colorado, as set out in your signed Client Services Agreement; that agreement governs. Disputes arising solely from use of this site are brought in the state or federal courts of Denver County, Colorado. We're a small business; we'd much rather talk through a problem than fight one.
We may update these terms. The effective date at the top of this page reflects the most recent update. Continued use of the site after a change constitutes acceptance.
